Courtney Sidenberg
M.S.W, R.S.W.
Courtney Sidenberg is an individual and marital therapist who specializes in relationships, parenting and the individual challenges that can make these difficult such as self esteem issues, depression and anxiety. Drawing on years of excellent research, Courtney has based her practice in the philosophy of emotionally focused therapy because of the recognition that people act right when they feel right. “One of the biggest challenges by far that I see in my clients is an inability to zero in on exactly what they are feeling and what they need to feel better”.
Courtney has experienced resounding success across the age span with her gentle, sensitive and empowering work with all types of people. Courtney decided to become a therapist because of her early recognition that one of societies biggest problems is that a lot of people don’t feel right, therefore don’t act right. We are such an intellectual society that tries to think our way through everything. Once we learn that our feelings determine our behavior and how to manage those well, society will start reflecting what Courtney’s clients experience, which are a drop in the use of antidepressants, higher levels of self esteem, a drop in the astronomical divorce rate and the rearing of more secure, happy children through the practice of raising emotionally intelligent children.
Courtney and Adam have two small children and thus have chosen to move her office into their home for the next few years so she can be available to them in a more flexible way. As such, please contact Courtney at her private number, 416-783-4686, or email her at courtneysidenberg@rogers.com for an initial consultation.
